Intro To Tarot

Hi friend! If you’re brand new to Tarot, welcome to this incredibly beautiful practice!

The Activation Tarot is a deck consisting of 78 cards, and each card tells its own unique story through imagery and symbolism. When studied together the Tarot tells the complete story of our lives — it guides us through spiritual lessons, challenges, triumphs, growth, and evolution. The Law of One Tarot, is different in that it only has 22 cards - all considered ‘Major Arcana’.

Just so we’re on the same page here, you should know that tarot is not fortune telling.

A major misconception is that a look at the cards will reveal your future and give you the “big answers”...When will I get my dream job? When will I meet my dream partner? What will my life look like in five years? The cards don’t determine this — you are in co-creation with the Universe to design your future. You have free will and a strong, divine intuition. The role of Tarot is to help you access it.

Anyone can read Tarot, and the process should be accessible, fun, and joyful. Put simply, Tarot is a tool to help you tap into your subconscious mind, connect with your inner knowing, and access the gifts that are already within you!

Laura Douglas is a multidisciplinary designer and artist focused on branding and illustration. She is passionate about supporting others through creativity and expression and draws most of her inspiration from spending time outside with friends and family. Her style and approach are grounded in empathy, a general curiosity for beauty, and intentional collaboration. She spends her time between Georgia and Maine with her sweet pup, Rosie.
